I have picked some of my favorite engagement and wedding videos that I came across this week. I love the creativity that guys are using to propose to their girls and I love a wedding that makes me cry.
Yesterday, was the most interesting day of my life because as a
planner I do not like lateness. I dropped my daughter and friends off
to VBS and then was suppose to be off to my meeting. I went to start
the car and it showed that a door was open and so I went around to open
and closed every door but the light would not go off. I then realized
that my dashboard was not working at all which means I could not see if I
was in drive, 1 or 2. I had to put my vehicle into gear by feel. I
could not even tell how fast I was going on the beltway which was backup
up (GEEZ). I thought about cancelling my appointment but decided to go
forward even if I was a few minutes late. I got lost with my GPS on the
phone because I could not hear it for some reason. I finally made it
to my appointment and WOW!
walked up to the door which Natalie answered and Jamie was behind her.
I knew who Natalie was and how many animals she had and who was Jamie
and she had one dog. I think it is very good to know about people
especially when they put it into writing on their website for you to get
a feel for who they really are as a person. The ladies began to tell
about how they meet, who long the had been in there location, how they
had renovated the space. The walls are beautifully decorated with their
work. They began to show the various albums and how their process for
getting clients work.
They have this one photo album that was full of surprises because the
pages were folded within themselves. I joked that I was going to have
to renew my vows with my husband just so I could have that photo album.
They loved the idea of me renewing my vows and so does our daughter so
she can be the flower girl. It was my most favorite album out of all of
them. I loved how when they took pictures that couples really did look
like they were posing in some of the pictures. They have this one
pictures that they took with infrared and it looks like there is snow on
the trees and ground (Awesome picture).
They gave me a tour of
their studio which which used to be a shoe store and there were
apartments upstairs. It took them 2 years to renovate but boy it is a
beautiful studio. The upstairs is for photo shots which they created a
headboard which I want to take a picture in front of when I get my shots
done. I must tell you they are mid to high range (starting at $2,500)
in cost as photographers but they are worth the cost. When you are
rating what is most important to you and if photography is ranked very
high than please contact Natalie and Jamie at Borrowed Blue
Photography. I am looking forward to working with these ladies in the
coming months. Here is a link to there blog posts so you can get a
sample of their
work.http://borrowedblue.wordpress.com/category/annapolis/ Bridal Corner
you start looking at photographers make sure they are someone that you
can connect with and their work gives you the feel you want to have for
your photo album. There should be several questions that you ask a
photographer when you set up an appointment . These are pictures that
you will have to share with you children and their children. Here are a
few important questions that I thinking brides and grooms should ask
Do you have my date available? Ask this over the phone so that you do waste their time or yours with an appointment.
How many years have you been a photographer?
How many photographers will be taking pictures at my wedding? How much more for a 2nd photographer?
How much of a deposit is required?
Do you have to pay traveling expense if your wedding is more than 100 or more miles from their location?
Can you set up a payment schedule? If you can pay them something every month than you do not feel so overwhelmed about money.
Do you shoot in digital or film format?
Do you shoot in color and black and white ? If only color than how much more for black and white photos?

I belong to a wonderful wedding and event planners group whom I call my CI Sista's. We are from all of the country and we are there for each other on our high and lows days. We encourage and inspire each other to push to be the best we can be as wedding and event planners.
One day a message was posted about what to do when you think a couple is getting cold feet. A light bulb when off for me that this would be a good topic for a blog. Let me just say that planning a wedding is a very wonderful event that you and your fiance' are planning. The planning can so take over your life that you two are now screaming and yelling at each other about the details of the
wedding. You are finding yourself in tears because you are working a full time job and trying to plan a wedding in a instant. You must remember that it is not just about all of the details for that one day but it is about you two spending the rest of your lives together as husband and wife. You have begun to doubt that this is something that you even want to do because you can not see eye to eye on things or your just feeling frustrated and overwhelmed with the planning process. Planning your wedding is a special event that the two of you are creating for your family and friends to celebrate your new life together.
When you are planning your wedding don't forget to do date nights. This is help you both stay connected and remember why you say "Yes" to his proposal. I have seen several cute ideas for date nights on Pinterest which I would recommend to any of my engagement couples to put into practice. When you find that you are getting cold feet or beginning to doubt if you want to get married than do on a date and do not discuss or talk about the wedding for at least 24 hours. If you both are still feeling overwhelmed with the planning than it is time to hire a professional planner. Just remember your love for each other during this process and do get so stuck on all of the details.
